Default I-130 Questions!

I will be forever grateful for all the help and input that I have
received from this group. All Y'all are the best! (smile!)

We are concurrently filing the big packet to petition and adjust
status.

On the I-130 field 22.

Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States
and will apply for adjustment of status.
Your relative is in the US and will apply for AOS to that of a LPR at
USCIS office in:

Since this is going to the lockbox in Chicago... I guess I type
"Chicago, IL. " here?

it further reads:

If your relative is not eligible for AOS, he or she will apply for a
visa abroad at the Ameriocan consulate post in: (City / Country)

Is this needed in the event that they determine I am not eligible after
all to adjust and tell me I have to leave and apply from abroad? Or
does this simply not apply to my case? Should I just N/A this?

Confusing ....!

Thanks again in advance,

NJ

No. Put in your local district office where you will have your
interview.

You ARE eligible for AOS, so just put "N/A" here.

Hi:

Don't make that assumption. There may be something that blocks
adjustment but immigrant visa processing is just fine.

That's true. So would he need to specify a consulate ahead of time on
the I-130, or wait to see if his AOS doesn't get approved?

Hi:

Actually, if the person doesn't want to say anything, then put in
"decline to state" or "will designate later" or some such. Just not
"N/A." I happen to agree it is a pretty dumb question and tends to be
ignored by the powers that be in any case.
