Default I-130 approved before K-3!

Hi!

Here is some info. I e-mailed the American Embassy in Warsaw, asking
them to open the provisional file for me (if it is possible to do with
the immigration visa).

This is their reply:
"...Unfortunately, the only way we can open a case
in our office is when we received an approved petition or a cable
directly
from the NVC. Should your husband wishes he may file a new petition
directly in our office, where the process time is shorter...."

Well, I think, it was worth trying anyway. We are not going to file a
new petition directly to Warsaw, since my petition has been already
approved in the US. I'll wait for the next package with the
instruction from NVC.

This summer I've been to the American Embassy in Warsaw. They advised
my husband and me to come to the Embassy together and file the
petition (I-130), and this way the petition could be approved the same
day. But since my husband had some job responsibilities, he couldn't
come, and he filed for I-130 in the States.
I hope this information can be helpful to somebody.

best regards,
Julia

Julia, that *is* helpful. You're the 2nd poster this week to report
about DCF in Poland.

Too bad about the provisional file, but you can make darn sure that you
have everything possible for your IV interview there. Police, military,
medical records, I-864 etc. Hopefully you'll burn right through the last
US step of processing!
