Default How long for an USCIS Officer to look at a case?

I remember having read in another thread, that an immigration officer at
the Service centers has an allowed timeframe to look at a case. Was it
30 Minutes per case?

Does anyone remember that thread or has a link? I
think, that someone tried to explain, how working a case is from
receiving to the decision.

If this someone (I don't know who) could
please answer that question again?

Thanks you so much.

Ivonne

Well, it all depends on the type of case, but for most cases, from the
moment the officer opens the file they get between 4 and 25 minutes to
either approve or request additional evidence. Once the file is returned
after an evidence request, the officer is given the same amount of time to
approve or up to 30 or so minutes to write a denial. This includes the time
to read the evidence and write the decision.

The varies greatly by type of case.
