Default how long for decision?

I know this has probably been asked a million times before and is very
like the thread "how long after 1022"......but

How long does it take on average for the decision to be made by your
case officer? We have submitted all our details, medicals have been
received by Sydney and results passed to our case officer......but still
no news on visa !

Is there an expected time span?

Advice would be appreciated.

Sorry I was a bit vague !

We are applying for a 136 skilled independent, applied in March 05, job
is on MODL and medicals etc done in August.

I have checked Austimeline but it all seems a bit hit & miss. Perhaps
this is normal and there is no expected time span. Is it just the luck
of the draw and how busy your individual case officer is ?

Thanks for any advice

Ours was 2 weeks exactly to them getting the 1022 back and us being told
by agent that our visa was granted

I reckon about 4-6 months, but also the luck of the draw as you say.

Hi thadie,

know exactly what you are going through, we have approx same timeline as
you, applied 136 skilled independant and on Modl, meds sent end July
still not heard anything.

What skills have you applied under my husband is a metal machinist
1st class?

Well hopefully we wont have to wait too much longer, keep us posted on
your app and we will let you know as well.

Good luck

Angie & Sean
Waiting waiting waiting its killing us :-(

Some of the threads seem to say they will ask for medicals about 15
weeks from recepit of application, you applied before me (see my
timeline below), so should be before me. I'm applying for skilled
independant too. I'll keep you posted of any knews I have. What I
looked at last night I should be hearing something next week, going by
everyone else's threads but your implies longer?
