Default how long does it take to citizenship ceremony.

Hi, I wrote the citizenship test on September 21, 2006 at Scarborough
office. I was hoping to
receive the notice for the oath soon. So far I did not hear anything
yet. How long does it take between the test and the ceremony in
general? Is there anyone who had the citizenship test about same day? I

need to travel out of the country. Is there any way to expedite the
proces? If I call the CIC and tell them I will be away for a few
months, would it have a negative impact on my case? Your experiences
and advices will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

They say about 4 weeks but it can take somewhere around 6-8 weeks. You
should be geting the oath date any time now since its past 4 weeks. You
can do an online status check going to cic website to see whether the
letter with the oath date was mailed out already or not. Nothing you
can do actually to expedite the process. However, if you must travel,
you can call cic and delay the process. Tell them when you want to take
the oath and they will be able to rechedule.
