That fact that she entered legally is a big deal, if she can survive
until you get Citizenship then under current rules her overstay will be
forgiven and you can legalise her staus through her marriage to a USC.
If she gets deported then you file for her, she will have a ban, she
will be refused the visa and you then have to file for a waiver to
overcome the ban.
Best bet might be to go for any amnesty programme, whatever that might
be.
