how can i make extended trips to canada without buying a return ticket?

im american and im sick of people who think i want to LIVE in canada.
just give me permission to stay for awhile and then take a flight to
europe or whatever.

although i wouldnt mind having a canadian passport. do they grant
political asylum to americans who are sick of american politics and
drug laws?

You can purchase a return ticket from US to Canada and a return ticket from
Canada to wherever in Europe you want to go.
You will be taking 1 extra flight journey this way, but now-a-days, round
trip tickets are the same price as one-way (in some cases cheaper).

See if you qualify for Canadian PR if you are really so tired.
If you do, then you can divide your time between US and Canada, as long as
you maintain your PR.
