HOGWASH!
Nice try at wriggling out , luckily your original quote is ever so
present.

Pay attention now :
>From your initial posting,
1) However, for numerous reasons I would really prefer if they do NOT
immigrate to the US. Is there anyway I can prevent this or at least
delay it?
2) Will the INS inform the sister in India about the incorrect I-864A
or was that letter only issued to my spouse
since he is the sponsor?

>From your recent posting,
3) In a few months when these medical issues are over it will not be
a problem. So that is why I was asking about a delay or
temporary hold on the visa.

12 years........ 12 years.. and there is actually light at the end of
the tunnel? and now this, I too think that there is a lot of back
peddling going on here. If u are stating now that its all out in the
open then yes u worded the first thread very badly. A sponsor is just
that, thru thick and thin, They could be here and a medical issue
arrises, but this is something u should have thought about before
sponsoring in the first place. Sponsorship is never to be taken lightly
guess ur just not up to it. Money never replaces family. EVER!! I think
ur too wrapped up in yourself to even contemplate "helping" others. Yes
there is a way to delay it, but in your case I think u better have a
heart to heart with ur other half and recind ur application because in
times like this u are not the people i certainly would like to have to
depend on. sorry.

If the reasons for delaying immigration were such as you describe, you
would have worded your post differently and explained such (to find
out the ramifications of sponsoring someone with medical issues, to
find out if medical issues are something you're responsible for as a
sponsor, or your spouse is the sponsor? you'd be asking if the visa
could be delayed until they get better, or how long it takes, and
you'd ask if after the visa is issued, if they could chose not to use
it).

You were torn to shreds by posters in the newsgroup because it looked
as though your spouse was sponsoring his family, you got a letter
telling him the application is incomplete, and you were going to
sabotage his efforts by not allowing him to see the letter. It has
nothing to do with whether or not you wanted to sponsor his family or
not, although some people might see it that way. I was annoyed by the
fact you could be married to someone and behave so deceitfully. A lot
of people get upset at their spouse for seeing another partner, I
think what you're doing is just so much worse than a one night stand
while married... (or should I say, what you described in the first
post, since right now I don't really believe anything you say
anymore).
