I applied in late 2000 and have not recvd interview schedule yet. A
friend applied mid 2001 and already had his interview last jan 2004.

Do not know! Mr. Andrew Miller said that background checking was
after the success interview. Maybe it is 99% but not 100% true. I
know a person who applied in Buffalo and his file was transferred to
LA for interview in 2001. After 2 years of waiting, his interview is
waived. During the time he waited, he sent fax to LA and the officer
told him that they were doing background checking.

Maybe your case
is in that 1%.

Do not want to offense Mr. Andrew Miller. On the
contrary, his answers are quite useful and he spend much time in this
forum without pay.

Hi Master,

From what visa office did you apply?

I think this maybe good, because you may not need a interview. Many
people first get a notification of interview, but after long time
waiting, the interview was waived
