Default Help with Visa's

Ok here goes, I have submitted my I-130 for my daughter and husband and
finally appear to be clear on the processes required BUT my daughter
(19) firstly applied to Camp America and had a J1 visa issued, this went
ok untill she did not get offered a place that she wanted and has now
been offered a year long programme at Disney (Q visa I think ) which she
is desperate to take. Have just spent ages and shed loads of money
calling the embassy for advice and feel more confused than before, a
common occurance I believe ! Should I cancel her I-130 application and
start her process again later or is it possible that she could get her Q
visa and then change to I-130 later. She will obviously have to cancel J
visa for Camp America but i am concerned that if we muk them about it
will screw up our altogether bigger plans of moving back to the USA

No. The Q visa is valid for a maximum of 15 months and it'll take most
of that time for the I-130 to process. There isn't usually a problem if
a person has two visas both valid at the same time.
