Default help with expired J1 visa

I have been looking at all the confusing info on all these laws. Can anyone tell me how to get my fiancee` into a legal permanent resident status. She entered on a legal J1 visa which has expired. Any help we would be grateful. D

Does your fiancee's J1 has a "two year rule applies" on his/her visa stamp in passport? if not he/she can apply for adjustment of status in the states without leaving the country. If it does have two year apply. well Marry Christmas!

If her visa is saying "Two year rule does not apply" that is good news. She can basically apply for adjustment of status like anyother overstayed people as an immediate relative. And dont forget to answer the question on form I-485 about J1 two year rule.
