HELP with Administrative Processing of L1A
I went for my L1 visa interview at Islamabad consulate, and after
series of questions (which were very pleasant and correctly answered)
the consular officer said that "He thinks everything is ok with my visa
application, however an additional administrative processing is
required to finally print the visa on my passport." And he handed over
a white colored paper containing the following statement and retained
my passport:
"Dear Applicant, The consular officer has approved your non-immigrant
visa application and has determined that an additional administrative
processing is required before printing your visa. The time taken in
this additional processing usually takes at least one month however it
greatly varies from case to case."
I asked the consular officer of any specific reason for this, and he
just said he has to follow what his system tells him to do. He said
it's just an additional security procedure to check my name, as I
have a very common name. I showed him concern that I searched online
and found that it's a very lengthy process taking months and even
years in some cases. But he said, "Sir, I think this one will be a
quick one and should not take more than 2-6 weeks."
My questions are:
1. Is this pending visa approval or denial as per Act 221(g). Its not
mentioned anywhere on that paper, neither he said so.
2. How many chances of denial are there? And on what bases?
3. I don't have a 4 years bachelors but 2 Years BS, but I have
extensive experience of over 4 years within my company as an executive.
Also, I have many vocational certifications and awards at national
level competitions.
4. My age is 23.5 years only; will this have any negative impact?
5. Has anyone else gone through similar situation, and what was the
result?
