Default Help for understanding CAIP note

Hi,

I had ordered my CAIP notes and have problem interpreting one thing.
It says:

PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF'D TO: RET ON 10-7-2006 MICROLOCATOR:

I can understand that file will be brought out on 10-7-2006 but I
cannot understand the meaning of RET. Does it mean RETURN?

I had applied PR in 2003 at Berlin but then July this year I moved to
Austria on work permit. So my file was moved from Berlin to Vienna on
9-7-2004 automatically. The CAIP notes that I am talking about is from
Berlin and not from Austria as so far I have not received my AOR from
Vienna.

My another query is if the BF'D 10-7-2006 by Berlin Embassy that has
been added to my file is to check if processing of my file in Vienna
is going on properly or Berlin embassy had planned to bring out my
file in year 2006? If Berlin embassy had planned to bring my file out
for paper screening only in 2006 then that would mean that given the
fact that I applied in 2003, Berlin embassy takes around 4 years to
process PR applications.

Any help regarding above queries would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Ankit

Bf'd to RET means that the file is closed and in 2 years it will be retired
, read , destroyed.

I am not so sure that your file has been transferred to Vienna. Visa
offices are not required to transfer files if they do not feel it
appropriate. I think your file has been closed because you are out of
Berlin's territory. RET means "retire" or more clearly, destroy. That does
not sound like its been sent to Vienna.
