Default Help - Confirmation of receipt of pr visa application?

Hi guys,
Just a quick question if anyone can assist that would be gr8.
We are currently in oz on a 457 visa and have recently applied for pr
(136 visa) on checking with dima before we sent application to adelaide
skills processing centre, we were advised that because my wife is a
nurse the application would be fast tracked, taking 12 weeks. We
couriered our application with Auspost on 21/10/04 and it was delivered
on 24/10/04(next working day) and signed for by Sara. Do Dima confirm
the receipt of applications, if so how long after receipt do they
acknowledge?.

We have already organised our police clearance certificates and I am the
only one needing a medical as my wife and son had full medicals for the
457 visa feb 2004 and my wife and I had the chest xrays. So I will have
to organise my medical soon. Any nurses that can share visa application
process stories and fast tracking would be grateful.

Many Thanks,

Melbournebound

I'm not fast track and I applied pre-july and the acknowlegement took 3
months. However I think it's different for post July applications.

However if you call the ASPC on the number on the DIMIA web site and ask
them what your case / file number is, explaining that you need to send
some more info, they should tell you. (I had to do this as I changed
address before I had my acknowledgement).

Charlie.

Medicals for a 457 may not be accepted for a PR visa application. Be
prepared to do them again if asked.

Hi Jeremy,
The medicals that my wife did were full migration medicals with hiv,hep
etc blood tests as she is a nurse and these were required for her to be
able to work.
I spoke to Alan Colletts office in July and they advised that the
medicals would be accepted as long as we let them know that they had
previously being done. Also they still valid for 4 more months.
If anyone would like to advise on this, it would be accepted gratefully.
