Default Health Insurance for Elder Parents

Hello,

My dad is 69 years old and I-485 is being processed.

What are his options for health insurance?
* Wait for GC, then apply for goverment supplemented health insurance
for elderly? OR
* Can he start applying for these health insurance now?

Thanks!

I think you may find he is not eligible for medicare until he has had
the GC for FIVE years.

There was a post on britishexpats.com in the last few weeks, have a
