Default H1b

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with www.h1base.com.

Is this really worth paying for?

Anybody had any good/bad experience with them?

Many thanks,

Regards
Col

I have no experience with them one way or the other, but noticed the
disclaimer that they are not a law firm. That is not automatically a
disqualification, as long as you know what you are paying for. For
instance, it is legit to provide general information, and probably also
to fill out forms, as well as many other things.

What specific services were you looking for that they offer?

Sounds dodgy to me because all it is is listing jobs, you can do that
part anyway via various job sites, and the employer would then sponsor
you and everything....this sounds like a scam because there is no
guarantee that you'd get a job and a visa from it.

Basically, you can find out your H1B related job from many different
resources.

For example, you may can post your resume on http://www.monster.com or
www.hotjob.com.

That's the way I could get a H1B job 3 times and now I am waiting for my
final processing for Permanent Residency approval.

I wonder that this type of www.h1bbase.com just want to take your money
without any confirmed responsibility to get your job or help you out because
you can find out a huge amount of resources regarding H1B or immigrant
related law from news group or other free internet web site.

Your H1B sponsoring company will hire the immigration lawyer to help you out
all the paper works based on my experiences.

I believe that most of H1B sponsoring company willing to pay this lawyer fee
and other necessary cost if you are worth to working in US.

Only immigration lawyer can give you the correct answer how to process your
paper works.

I wish your good luck for new job seeking in US.

Solar.

Hi Solar,

Thanks for your reply.

I have posted my resume on both the sites you mentioned.
I am just attacking the US job market at as many angles as I can!
I know that it is not easy but I will not give up :)

I know that my resume is pretty good but it's just getting it noticed by
a company that would sponsor me that is the hard bit.
As soon as they see I am not permitted to work in the US it gets thrown
in the trash!

I have attached my resume to this post, so any comments would be greatly
appreciated.

Solar, may I ask if you got your sponsorship via posting on the
monster.com/hot jobs etc.?

Thanks again guys/girls,

Kind regards
Col

Most people probably got sponsored jobs by hunting the places direct and
finding someone they would work with to contact, like design manager or
whoever rather than the monkey in HR that wouldn't know a thing.

Also, resume is quite different to a CV, so you might want to go through
and check out what people ahve said about resumes' in the US forum as
there's a fair bit of info there.

Cheers bob for your advice,

I have had a few 'native' americans have a look at my resume and they
seem to think that it is OK, but I am open to any comments/suggestions
that anyone has to make.

I know what you mean about the 'monkey HR' people, I have had a few
run in's with them and they have proved that they know very little! :)
I have been trying to bypass them by phoning the company and asking
for IT managers instead, but most companies just pass you onto their
HR dept.!!

I guess the best way is to have an 'inside' lead via a friend/aquantance
from BritishExpats.com ;), and I will endevour to keep trying :)

Thanks again for all your helpfull advice.

Kind regards
Col
