The only direct flights that probably exist are charter flights targeted at
Italian tourists. You need to book them long in advance, which will be
difficult to do from outside Italy, especially if you wish your flight not
to be bundled with accomodation. You'd have to contact an Italian travel
agent in advance if you wish to do that. The most likely direct
destinations are the popular charter resorts: Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes,
Iraklion, Kos etc. ..
I don't think there are direct scheduled flights to any Greek island from
abroad, just domestic ones. You can of course book a scheduled flight if
you're prepared to change planes in Athens. That should be bookable from
anywhere in the world. Any island which has an airport is available. In the
Cyclades that will be: Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Milos, Syros, and
lots of others outside the Cyclades. If you wish to do that, you should
book early in the year, as the Greek domestic flights are booked out months
ahead. Also I don't think that a non-Italian travel agency will be able to
find attractive budget options for that route, so better expect a rather
expensive price.
Of course you can just fly Rome - Athens and use a ferry from there. It's
probably easier to find budget flights on that route from abroad.
