expert expats...

I have a question, If you get an email of the grant
but not the actual letter in the post, can you use the email letter to
evidence at the embassy. I think the letter is lost in the mail, but I
still have the email grant letter.. . (or do they not send the letter
by snail mail anymore)

Yes you can...

Just send the copy to the embasy they will check in
their computer system and evidence your visa.
