Thanks! Our son is going to 6 yrs in April so we will have a bit of a
gap between the two. Maybe this will stop them from fighting.

We also unfortunately lost one which would have been 2nd one and this
caused complications. Thats life I suppose.

Mrs Majj is vacuuming crazy. She like to vacuum twice a week at least. I
did help her during the first three months of the pregnancy but now she
does it in the week days. Mind you we bought a new washing machine in
December but I haven't let her have a turn on it yet.

Fortunately we dont have a spare room so she can't banish me to it.

I've no idea about babies and medicals so maybe I'll ring up one of docs
and see what procedures are.

Majj.

Congratulaions!

And thanks for the information. It's what makes this forum such good
value - the "oldies" passing on their aquired knowledge to the "newbies"
and so on.

BTW, I see that you went to the AHC personally. Was that in London?
Their website intimates that since December you can't do a personal
visit, but we have a reason for wanting to do it that way. We're
presently in the States, and when (if) we get visas would like for
various reasons to come back to the Uk for a few days to evidence -
obviously we couldn't rely on posting passports and getting them back in
time to come back out to the US a few days later!

You could consider getting your visas stamped in Washington DC:

There's no urgency to tell DIMIA about the pregnancy until they ask you
for medicals (or until the baby arrives, if that happens first).

They are usually happy to put the case 'on hold' at this point until the
baby arrives.

Yes, thanks. That is in fact our back-up plan, but since we've a hell of
a lot of "stuff" in the US we thought we'd come back for a few days
anyway in order to bring back another 4 suitcases full! And get the
visas done at the same time - but obviously only if the AHC London will
do them over the counter as they did in October with retirement visas.

Yes, we did go to AHC personally ! That was at New Delhi. DIMIA had
asked us where we would like our passports to be stamped. This was
mentioned in the original application and then again at time of Meds &
PCC.

I presume that you can request them for a different place (where you
are right now) for visa stamping. But, this must be done BEFORE your
grant letter is issued ! The grant letter states the place where you
can got for stamping.

Another important thing. Initially I was confused if there was a time
limit for getting the passports stamped after the grant letter came.
But, I understand that you can take your time, as long as you are not
too close to the initial entry date. That way, you can time things at
your convenience.

Hope this helps.

All the best !
