Default Golden Prague Hotel Prague

I have just returned from a disasterous stay at the Golden Prague Hotel in
Wenceslas Square booked through www.BestPrague.com .
First we were shocked to find that the hotel is still under construction and
there was dust every where.

We a family of five and had booked a 'beautiful' 3 bedrrom appartment with
tiolet and living room at ?168 per night. We we arrived the allocated us a
two bedroom appartment (one bedroom with kitchen in it!) with one toilet.
The staff insisted that a two bedroom room was all that ?168 per night gave
us and that was that! How was my wife, my mum, my daughter and a nephew
going to share that? It took two hours of arguements before finally they let
us have two small appartments!

These were no where as good as the three bedroom apartment with two toilets
and living room with TV promised on the Internet. Some of the beds are in
the kitchen area and a cupboard door fell 10ft to the ground during the
night! None of the rooms had TV or the other facilities offered!

It was interesting to note there where no fire alarm, no fire extinguisher,
no fire instructions and no smoke alarms!

Reception is a 'hut' inside the hallway and is not manned all day.

In four nights the bins not were not emptied at all and vomit on our front
door was not washed off despite us asking!

If you have booked this hotel - Beware!

Unlucky Steve,

Can put a real downer on a holiday to a beautiful city !
I stayed there a couple of months ago, I booked into the Arcotel Teatrino,
it was stunning !
As for apartments, I've had some superb recomendations about these people.

Well worth checking out if you should plan another trip !

I didn't see the original post (my ISP's newsserver doesn't seem to have
picked it up) so may be out on a limb here but, we've just had four
excellent days in Prague and stayed at the Hotel Adria on Wenceslas Square
www.adria.cz Maybe try there next time?

Mogweed.
