Default gay immigration

does anyone know the current status of the proposed bill the "uniting american families act"? it will allow americans to sponsor their same sex partners for immigration. if you do know what it is and feel the need to help it pass please visit the immigration equality website for more info, a simple letter goes a long way and will help many couples currently being forced to live apart, love is love and we all deserve it!! thanks
