France: all Paris Orly flights cancelled one week long
Not possible ?
In France, this is possible.
Because the 12 guys in the traffic control in Orly
have the feeling they was not involved in a decision
concerning the reorganisation of work between
Paris Orly and Paris Roissy
Paris Roissy will be affected starting from today.
Like most air traffic control strikes in France, this
happens during a havy loaded family winter holiday week.

So what ? Ski stations don't have airports anyway, people take the train or go by car...

there is sun in the mountains,
there is (cheaper) sun in the Carribeans
many go outside France to the warm, leaving via Paris
in this centralized country,
so its tuned for the maximum smoke.....

actually 40% of flights still operate from Orly. Not sure about Roissy
I think those 12 guys should be rounded and executed. You're right,
things like this make me proud to be French

But doesn't that make sense? What would be the point of a strike if it
was arranged so that no one noticed it?

Re: France: all Paris Orly flights cancelled one week long
Holly France,
a country which can afford
to put down his air traffic for more then a week and
spit on their tourits.
Hope for them they still can afford to do it
in the future, or as long the tax payers
cover the losses of Air-France
Strangely, no other "democratic" country can afford
to do this.
Another "french paradox" ?

Interestingly, Air France flights to Paris Orly had all been caancelled when
I went through Tolouse airport yesterday late afternoon, but EasyJet were
still booking people in. I wonder if someone forgot to tell the Brits.

I suspect that rather is the point of choosing this week.
