Form N-445 questions
Guys and gals, I am a long time lurker, a first time poster. I just
received N-445 Notice of Naturalization oath ceremony. There are
questions on the back that I am not sure what the answers are.
1. Have you married, or been widowed, separated or divorced? (If "Yes,"
please
bring documented proof of marriage, death, separation or divorce.)
I have been married to the same person long before I was first
interviewed on your
Application for Naturalization, Form N-400.
So what should I check Yes or No? Should I bring the marriage
certificate just to be sure?
2. Have you been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, convicted, fined or
imprisoned for
breaking or violating any law or ordinance, including traffic
violations?
I got a traffic ticket back in May 2006 and I took the defensive
driving. So the answer will be
Yes; however, what is the impact of getting a traffic ticket to the
naturalization ceremony?
Should I also bring the completing of that defensive driving and
letter from the city/municipal
that indicates the traffic ticket has been dismissed (just in case)?
How does this proceeding naturalization ceremony work anyway (step by
step)?
I appear at the place, show that N-445 letter and fill up the questions
on the backâÂ?Â

I wrote quite a bit about my husband's. What is it you want to know?
He was handed the paper and cautioned not to do any of those things in
the remaining hour and a half before his oath.

Sorry, I could not find your thread.
What did you husband attach to N-445 as a prove that he was still
married?

He didn't attach anything. We went for coffee and then went to the
ceremony. He turned the paper you describe and his Green Card and took
his place.
Did joehuber write the question with all the information from the
letter?

The N-445 is asking if any of those things occurred since the date of
your interview and the date of the ceremony.
You already supplied the information up until the date of the interview
at the interview itself.
Hubby had his oath ceremony in 2003 ... didn't attach anything.
