No i think you misunderstood scutter old chap, if the answer to q17 is
never married then you go to q17, but if you've not been married then
and only then can you go to q17...........see, easy
really...........NEXT

The folks who drafted the July 2003 version of Form 47SK obviously
didn't do a very good job. This particular problem shows that
DIMIA merely lifted the text from the Nov 2002 Form 47SK to the
July 2003 version.

Question 17 in the July 2003 edition was Question 15 back in Nov 2002.
Hence it made sense then in Nov 2002 to direct you to Q17 when your
marital status was any of the top three choices (pun intended).
Rightfully, Q17 in July 2003's edition should direct you to Q19 under
the same circumstances.

cheers peter.

it is easy to do, and i've done it myself in my day, but you expect more
from an official document like this than you would a brochure request
form for a holiday company!

i finally worked out that i need to go to question 19.....

thanks again anyway.

True - DIMIA have been perfecting the art of making errors in their
forms and booklets (albeit minor ones most of the time, but there have
been some major ones) by relatively constant practising.
