Personally, I seldom use them, simply on the basis that not all
readers will know their meaning. I can type at what I consider
an adequate rate, so why should I use possibly confusing
abbreviations? Even though many readers may understand some of
them. If I were to give someone a cake recipe, I would use
the common name "table sugar" rather than "sucrose" or
"C12H22O11." :-)
>I think this is your first venture into any sort of ngs';
Think what you wish, but I assure you that you are in error. Why
should I lie to you or others? I am a Christian, and the Bible
states that Satan is the father of lies. See John 8:44, KJV.
For non-Christian, or non-religious readers, lying is still
unadvisable as it requires one to use a lot of memory and
expend a lot of effort to remember just what lies one has told to
which people.
This is not to say that it used to be possible to maintain them
for decades. For an example what was the cargo of RMS
Lusitania?
quote:
"Beginning in April 1915, in every newspaper in New York,
directly next to Cunard's advertisement for Lusitania, was a
warning from the German Imperial Government, reading:
"NOTICE! TRAVELLERS intending to embark on the Atlantic
voyage are reminded that a state of war exists between Germany
and her allies and Great Britain and her allies; that the zone of
war includes the waters adjacent to the British Isles, that in
accordance with formal notice given by the Imperial German
government, vessels flying the flag of Great Britain, or of any
of her allies, are liable to destruction in those water and that
travelers sailing in the war zone on ships of Great Britain or
her allies do so at their own risk."
Lusitania sailed from Pier 54 in New York on May 1, 1915, with
1,959 passengers on board, including a typical sprinkling of the
famous and wealthy. The cargo was entered on the manifest as
foodstuffs, metal rods, ingots and boxes of cartridges.
Controversy about the true nature of the cargo continues."

Quite possibly. I am fairly "picky" about the definition of
"friend". However, I do have a lot of "acquaintances".

Whatever turns you on.:-) However, if you want to check them,
you might ask each of them for a $1000 cash loan until tomorrow
or next week and see how many are willing to provide it.
If enough of them do, you can invest it for 24 hours and collect
a bit of interest before you repay the loans.

Fantasy? Perhaps you don't try to keep up with world news?
Using your own phrase of " Catholic priests and sex abuse" I just
Googled this phrase.

abuse. (0.22 seconds). Changing the "C" to "c",

As said earlier, simply replying to your posts. Others can read
them or not as they chose. Is the concept of "free choice" so
alien to you?
To quote from your post:
"Maybe you are a pedophile in real life???
Does your wife know about your tendencies?
Turned on by what the dicky priests have been up to are you?"
Hmm, you are getting desperate, are you not? :-)
Still, I don't mind confrontation, where necessary, IMHO. If
our communication is to be a "battle of wits" perhaps it is a
pity that you seem to be only "half-armed".
Are you now admitting that you do really know what "dicky
priests" have been up to? I think this says something about you
to discerning readers.

>Well why don't you fluck away and do so?
Why don't you use the actual word that you obviously have in
mind? Still, even people such as yourself should try to keep up
with the times. Familiar with the Macquarie dictionary? Perhaps
the following online info may help you.
http://www.abc.net.au/wordmap/rel_stories/swearing.htm
To quote a bit of it:
"But the 1970s loosened the constraints on our language as well
as our hair. And the rise of women's liberation meant that women
claimed the right to swear just as colourfully and publicly as
men.
A lot of the earlier taboos were to do with sex. While no longer
as sexually wild and free as we were in the days of making love
and not war, we are much more matter-of-fact about it. If parents
are still a bit coy about discussing sex with their children,
there are now books for children at any age to explain its
mysteries, whether the question is from a four-year-old who wants
to know where they came from, or from a teenage girl who wants to
know whether to go on the pill or not.
It's hard to believe that this means that we are in a tabooless
society. But it is the conclusion of various judges and
magistrates that words like `****' are so commonly uttered and so
generally accepted that people cannot be punished by this society
for mouthing them. Times have changed, and as far as taboos are
concerned, the body has given its all."
Haven't you advanced since the 1970's? If so, I could easily
believe it. Please confirm for the sake of other readers, if
any.

Feel free to quote from my posts, and/or your analysis of same.
I'm sure that this will amuse some readers, assuming that anyone
bothers to read our correspondence. :-)
They do have "free choice", of course, but the concept of "free

You do know what "books" are, don't you? The things that people
of my age group used as "reference sources" before the Internet
became available?
To grab some from the shelf, are you conversant with the contents
of "The Practical Study of Crystals, Minerals and Rocks" by Cox,
Price, and Harte" ? After all, you have studied geology.
Or perhaps "The Reloading Manual for Rifle and Handgun" by Nick
Harvey?
Or "The Ephemeris of the Moon" from 1800 to 2000 inclusive?
Or the "Kabbalah" by Charles Ponce, published by Garnstone Press?
