Default Entering canada with a visitor's visa while PR application is being processed

I am a Canadian citizen and my wife is an Indian citizen currently
residing in India. I have recently filed the sponsorship/PR papers
for my wife at the CIC processing centre in Missisuaga. My wife has a
valid Canadian visitor visa which she got while she was staying the
states. My question. Can she visit me in Canada with that Visa? or
Will she be refused entry because her PR application is currently
being processed? Any information will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mannar Rao

Yes she can visit. She should answer all questions truthfully at the
border.

Hi Jim,

Thanks a lot for your prompt response.

Though she got her visitor visa in the states, my wife is presently
living in India. She plans to fly into Canada. Would there by
additional complications due to the fact that the country where she
got her visa (USA) is different from the country from which she is
entering (India)?. Also, my wife and I didn't know each other when
she got the visitor visa. She basically got the visa for sightseeing
purposes. Would using a visa which was originally granted for tourism
to visit me cause any problems?

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,
Mannar Rao.
