Brent
I lived in Doha for a year and half, it was needless to say intresting. Driving over there is dangerous..no rules. Every 3 days someone dies in car accident, which is shocking considering how small Doha is. Power and hydo are expensive if you decide to live in a villa, average 200.00 U.S/month, however if you take small apartment, would be quite cheaper. Everyday life in Doha is very slow..what may take a day to get cable, phone or internet here in North America, will take anywheres from 2 weeks to a month in Doha. You also have to go thru alot of hassle getting your medical, drivers licence, ID card, opening up a bank account etc, but all in all, the hassle is worth living there. I loved it there, made amazing friends as you will too if you decide to go there.
Best of Luck
Em
