Default Edinburgh Ramada or Tailors Hall

We're visiting Edinburgh next summer and would like opinions on
staying at either the Ramada Mount Royal or the Atel Tailors Hall. We
tend to like a comfortable, clean room in a nice location without a
lot of noise! Alternate thought: should we look for a location with
air conditioning after this past summer's record heat?

I can assure you that although we had a dry summer in Edinburgh it was not
HOT. Our East wind helps up keep our cool. You cannot beat the Mount Royal
for location but there have been complaints about the noise caused by all
night busses stopping out side. I would steer clear of the Cowgate location
of the Tailors Hall as it is near a hostel for street people and you will be
stumbling over drunks or be accosted by them.
Derek.
