Default eClient Application Status not showing status of application!

Hello Everyone,

Recently I have been trying to check the status of my application using
eClient Application Status feature on the Citizenship and Immigration
website but i see the following:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There
could be three possible reasons:

a.. Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try
again.

b.. We may not have started processing your application. Please see the
Application Processing Times for more information.

c.. At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of
your application if you have:
a.. sponsored a member of the family class;
b.. applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
c.. applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or
renewal);
d.. applied for a grant of Canadian citizenship; or
e.. applied for a proof of Canadian citizenship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------

I had applied to Buffalo in August 2002 and received my file number in
October 2002. A month (or two) back my application status was being shown as
"in-process" but now I see the above message. What could be the reason? I am
entering the information correctly...I know for sure. Any help/info would be
highly appreciated.

Thank you. Happy Holidays and A Happy New Year to all.

According to the Call Centre the software for this application is done and
maintaned by 3d party company and sometime data gets corrupted. It can get
back to normal or don't, like in my case where I can't see the status since
April 2003. Welcome to the club.

Thanks guys for the info. In this new year I can again check my status
online...a very nice new year gift for me from Immigration Canada, i guess:)
Happy about it.

In the name field I just entered my last name instead of the entire name as
in my application (which previously used to work) and surprisingly it
started showing my status again!! Try the same and see what happens.

But thank you very much for your time and reply. Cannot appreciate it
enough. Happy new year to you all:)
