I have a collection of softwares and drivers that I have bought over the
period of a few years (all original CDs). I do not want to lose it. I
was thinking that I could copy to a HDD and take it with me and leave
the collection at home so that my years of collection will not go waste.

I have a huge collection of original English movies. I backed them up
here and am leaving a backed up copy and taking the originals.

Does anyone know what is the limit of CDs/DVDs one can carry before it
becomes a problem?

Hello,
yes, it's quite available.
The E-3 visa is similar to the H-1B visa. Important differences include
the thing that spouses of E-3 visa holders may work in the United States
without restrictions, and that the E-3 visa is renewable indefinitely.
Australian citizens applying for an E-3 visa are also no longer subject
to the 65,000 annual visa limit for H-1B visas. Although there is a
separate annual quota of 10,500 E-3 visas, this is believed to be much
more generous to Australians than requiring them to compete with all
other nations for H-1B visas.

Hi all,

I was reading many of the posts and not sure if someone has said it but
I am about to send in my I129 and renew my E3. Does any one know if
there is a supplement for the E3? I see many for other types of visas
but not one specific for the E3. Also if anyone knows if they now
accept elctronic LAC forms as I found out from other posts they didnt
in the past.

Thanks
J

Hi All,

I am a primary E3 visa holder and just noticed that on my SSN card it
says 'Valid for work only with DHS authorization'

Does this sound right to you guys? I thought the primary E3 holder did
not require any work permit.

The I-94 indicating E3 *is* the work permit, it *is* the DHS authorization.

Hi, I was wondering about the wording necessary in the 'job offer
letter' for the E3 visa. If anyone could post a copy of their job offer
letter (with personal details removed of course) that would be really
helpful to understand how it has to be worded. Thanks!!

Probably, your prospective company may already know how to write one.
AFAICR, it'd say they are pleased to offer you the position, your
offered title, your dept, location, salary, and bonus, probably some
short descriptions of your work, and etc. This is pretty much a
standard letter, though. But I think this letter is only one piece of
the puzzle which makes up the whole picture before the consular
officer's eyes prior to making a decision. Having said so, there are
other important documents, too, both from your employer's and your side.

Best of luck,

Regards,
fld.

Hi PHook,

It's quite hard to find up-to-date information about the process of
changing employers whilst on the E3 visa. It would be really great if
you could summarize the process that you followed to get your visa
updated, including how long you had to wait before you were able to
start working with the new employer etc.

Thanks!

Hi There,

Great Thread. Has anyone managed to successfully receive the E3 visa
without a university degree? If so, how did you go about it?

TIA
