Thank you! Do you know if I can continue to work with my curren
eployerwithout them knowing that a new petition is filed? Im concerned
about the 10 days grace period - what if it doesnt get approved by then?

Also - do I need to go ack to Aus to obtain a new visa or can I do this
within the US?

Hello everybody,

Thank you everyone for the contribution here, with the help and
information, I'm almost ready to the Consulate in Hong Kong, where I'm
residence.

I have one thing that worried me, is that I got held by an immigration
officer on entry to US back in Jan 07, for the reason I got married (not
officially but religiously) but didn't tell the truth. I was with my
husband at that time, but they let me go even they knew I'm coming in
for job hunt and living with my husband.

And now I found a job and ready to flight off to Hong Kong, I'm worried
the person at the Consulate will pull up the record and query about my
temporary of stay. Has anyone ever got held by an immigration officer at
entry and applied E-3 successfully? If they did ask about my marrige,
shell I tell the truth but let them know we are planning to live in
Australia after 4 years? Show them bills and house/property that belongs
to my parent enough to proof that?

And at last, do I need a lawyer consultation for my case? Please advice.

I got one more question, I'm filling the DS-156 form, with my question
above, shell I fill in my husband's information? shell I select single
or married?

I'm afraid they will pull up the record and found that I'm not telling
the truth again, but on the other hand, if I have a LPR husband, that
will break the temporary of stay rule. I'm very worry here, please help
and thanks.

Hi
This forum is probably the best resource for this vis on the web.

I've got a few questions.
1. I¢â¬â¢m aware that you can not apply for the E-3 from within the
U.S. but does anyone know if you can transfer from a B1/B2 to an E-3
visa?
2. If you only have a diploma (2 years education) how much experience
do you need to be eligible for the visa?
2. Has anyone gotten this visa without the degree?
3. How do you prove that you have that experience?

Thanks

I dont think B1/B2 allows you to transfer to any other category while in
US.. you have to apply from out side US.. if you were on H1b then the
transfer can happen.. basic requirement is equivalent bachelors which
is 4 years of study at least.. i dont know if you have diploma then how
much experience you need.. and Experience letters from employers is the
way to determine experience.. and they need upto date contact
information and can call them to confirm

Hi All!
Been in LA for 2 weeks on an 2 year E3 visa, loving it! This week i got
offered a job as a feature film editor back in Australia for 10 weeks
starting mid July. My new employer is fine with me leaving for the 10
weeks i'm just wondering if immigration will have problems when i try to
get back in. Can anyone help me or push me in the right direction to
find the answer?
cheers

Does anyone know where to find how many of this fiscal year's E3 quota
have already been used?

Hi
I've been reading this forum for a while and it has managed to answer
most of my queries re E3 visa. I am in the process of applying for a job
in the Maryland area and am finding it difficult to get any contacts, I
am a system/network Admin with 7 years experience and a postgrad degree
in Information Technology, what I'm trying to find out is how did people
go about getting a job in the US? I am still in Aus and am going over on
March the 1st for a month to look for a job, does anyone have any
advice? anything I should know? Do employers see your address as being
Australia and dis-regard you straight away?
My cover letter states that I do not need sponsorship for a H1b visa as
I've been told they scare a lot of employers away, does anyone have any
advice on how I should go about stating what I need for an E3 visa? I
currently state all the employer needs to do is fill out the LCA form
online and provide a letter of offer.
Sorry about the rant but I desperatley want to get to the US, any help
at all would be appreciated.

No problem.
Just in case have a letter from your U.S. employer in your pocket when
you re-enter.
