Hi mates,
My wife and I both are IT technical people so I am wondering if it is
more flexible for us to secure our status if we hold E3 solely?
if My wife or I lose job the we can transfer to E3D in US ? does it
make sense ?
if it does , could you tell me if it is possible to transfer E3 to E3D
in US ? No need to head back to AU or other country
Thanks heaps.

manasa, I saw someone got GC while holding E3 ....
I am confused ... how come one hold E3 and apply GC ?
but I'd like to hear more E3 holders get GC
BTW, normally how long for Australian have to stay / work in US
to get GC ?

thething did you start your process while on H1b and then changed to E3?
if that the case then it seems possible.. as your process is in file
while you were on H1b.. because E3 started in 2005 and ur whole GC
process must have took more than 1 year. So please confirm if you got ur
labor certification and GC process started while on H1b or E3
thanks for the help

Re: E3 visa
I had my interview at the Sydney consulate last week and am now in the USA working on my E3.
Here are the questions asked of me:
1) Have you been convicted of a criminal offense?
2) What is your job title and tell me what you will be doing?
3) Have you citizenship of another country?
That's it. He did not ask for educational credentials, employment offer or proof of ties in Australia. Interview lasted 3 minutes and was told to come back tomorrow to pick up Passport.
P.S. I once had a J1 work visa on my British passport and I worked in the USA for 6 months on a short-term contract and then left when completed. So this may proove my intent that I always leave the country.
