Went for my interview in Vancouver. Everything was smooth sailing. Asked
about my job description, picked up the passport the next day. Asked for
previous payslips. If you make sure you have all the documents when you
get there everything should be ok. The officer was friendly and the
interview was very quick. Thanks icu2nite for the DS157 pdf.

Does anyone know if you can apply the dependent I-765 EAD online for E3s
or does it have to be done by mail

I am currently paying off a mortgage in australia. there are two ways to
send money home- you can wire it, which cost around $50 dollars per
wire, or the cheaper way... I have my mum as an additional card holder
to my US bank account. I sent her the card and she takes money out every
few weeks and banks it in my australian account. You only get charged 1%
of what she takes out. Make sure you ask the bank if you can raise the
limit on the amount you can take out in one day though otherwise you can
only take out around 500 at a time- very annoying.

In answer to your second question- check out ANZ's website they have a
special mortgage for expats.

check out the US lifestyle forums...been discussed many times already.

best way, www.xe.com quick, cheap, reliable....not a pretty site, but
it's solid, and so far with all the folks on the forum, no complaints,
apart from the bit of a hassle of the interview to set up an account.

I use www.ozforex.com.au -- they've always had the most competitive
exchange rates when I've transacted.

Thanks again thething.
when you get a chance, can you please tell us:
1. What is the 485 aka adjustment of status route? Is that just the
concurrent filling with the I140?
2. At what point were you told to do the phisical?
3. What status do your dependents get? do they get GC too?
thanks

You can and I did, but I am not sure it is faster, because you need to
mail in your supporting documents anyway.

Default E3 visa transfer: Anyone done it? URGENT

I just recieved my own E3 visa for the US and have a query.

Already I have interest from other companies in the US which I am more interested in working with. I have heard through forums such as this that a transfer is possible.

1. I am currently on an E3 visa through Company 'A'. I am considering another offer from company 'B' whilst working at company 'A' in the US.?Do I need a new E3 visa? (ie. go through the process of interviewing/presenting all my documents/references/bank statements etc)

2. DO I have to leave the US to do the transfer or can it be done internally?

3. What are the forms that company 'B' has to fill in to complete the process?

4. Upon approval of E3 transfer, is there any time limit to join the new company?

5. Do you need to inform your present employer about your Visa Transfer? Is there any way that my current employer can come to know about my E3 transfer?

6. Is there any limit for the number of times I transfer my E3 visa?.
