that's useful , thanks, mate

I found out below info , E.G.

Occupational Wages [Top]

Area Year Period Hourly Mean Hourly by Percentile
25th Median 75th
California 2006 1st Qtr $34.87 $24.98 $32.74 $42.81

looks like the Wage is not good. I was wondering if we are offered below
marketing rate coz we wanna work in USA ?

I know guys in IT arear could reach 80K+ if he had 7,8+ working exp.
what I am concerned is maybe Employer in USA would give us low wage coz
we wanna move to USA and have to accept it ........

any comment ?
Thanks in advance,,,,

That sometimes happens. But you're implying that American employers never
make low salary offers to American workers. They do do, and for numerous
reasons and purposes. You're forgetting that those other reasons and
purposes may apply to you too.

The thing about "average" wage figures is that while 50% of the people earn
more that it, 50% of people earn less than it. Getting a work visa doesn't
automatically imply that you are in the top 50%.

If you don't all the skills an "average" person has, or you don't have an
"average" amount of experience - or simply because the employer is equally
mean to everyone - then you will not be offered a "top" salary.

Thanks for the response.

I have been hearing a lot of crap from people about how you cannot
renew E-3 and must leave, although they also said they know of someone
that had to do this - I asked how that could be possible, since the
visa has only been available for one year and noone could have reached
the end of it yet!!

For the person that asked if a healthcare professional would need the
Visa Screen Certificate, I believe the answer is YES. Any foreign
healthcare worker on an occupational visa must provide the Visa Screen
Certificate at consular interview.

I do not know of any other RNs who have been able to get a job in the US
based on an E-3, so it will be interesting to see how it goes - the only
other option is green card route for RNs, so this would mean I could get
to the job being offered in the US a whole lot faster!!

Hi,

Has anyone sucessfully applied for an E-3 from Canada? I'm currently in
London working and don't want to have to go all the way back to
Australia to go for my interview.

Thanks,

Hi Thething,

how things going ? kidding ,,,,,,,
I got one question for you .

you said :""This is incorrect. The employer must apply for the LCA, not
the employee. They can do this online very quickly as it is approved
automatically. Then they print it out, sign it and give you a hardcopy
for the interview with USCIS.""

did you do it successfully ? could you pls tell me the process ? like
you had an interview with potential Employer and he agree to offer you
ajob then he do the LCA on line ?

Is it possible to do LCA on line by ourself and bring it to empolyer
when ppl get the interview ? it sounds like sensible ....... IMHO,.

Yep. I do ask you more than one question , sorry about that

Thanks heaps, mate

Regarding visa screen certificate for RN's

I am a Occupational Therapist working in the us on an E-3 visa and i
obtained the visa credenital verification certificate (VCVC) .
however... when i applied for my visa in perth they did not ask to see
the VCVC and when i entered the US nor did they want to see it then. It
seems i paid $200 for nothing. Not sure if this is the same for RN's

Hi there, this is a great forum, very helpful. My husband and i are
currently in the process of applying for his Employment Authorization
Document. Has anyone applied for this and got it back sooner than 3
months? or is that pretty much the standard??
