You should have no problem at all getting an E3 visa to work in that
job and industry. Having an MBA shows it is clearly a professional
position. The head of the World Bank was until recently an Australian
working in the US!
The main issue is trying to find banking people willing to go thru the
hoops to hire you. I would try to find personal contacts in the US
banking system who can help you. The E3 visa is very new and most
companies will shy away from work visa's if they can. I doubt you will
have much success with the big HR departments. You need someone you can
talk to - and tell them about this exciting new visa for Australians
that only takes a couple of weeks and $100 to get - then they can make
the effort to find the right job for you. Most of the time they hear
'work visa' and they think attorneys and big fees, and your CV goes to
the bottom of the pile.
