Default E-filed I-765, seems to be MIA

I e-filed an application for renewal of my EAD on 7/22/2004, I received
the confirmation receipt at the end of the e-filing process, and subseq-
uently went for biometric testing and sent copies of the required docum-
entation to the MO Benefit Centre.

My problem is as follows:

1) The account that I used to e-file no longer works. I can no longer
login using the information sent to me in the email when I opened the
account (opened the same day I e-filed the I-765). If I use the "lost
my password" option, which I didn't but I wanted to be certain, it
says there is no record of my email address. Bear in mind I received
the confirmation email at this address when I created the account.

2) And this is the worrying part for me; When I check the online status
of the MSC number on the confimation receipt (i.e. the PDF that resu-
lts after e-filing) there is no information in the USCIS system. I'm
pretty sure the receipt number worked because they used the barcoded
information on the receipt to pull up my information at the Applicat-
ion Support Centre.

3) I haven't received the promised hard-copy receipt from USCIS, which
should have been here 7-10 days after e-filing.

I know the fees were taken off our credit card 2 days after the e-filed
application, but to date haven't actually seen anything from USCIS ackn-
owledging my application.

As it is I left it late to apply for renewal, not realising processing
dates had slipped so badly, and will probably be out of status on my EAD
come October even if everything goes well. But it seems something isn't
kosher with my application.

I've called the 800 number and they admit it's strange my status isn't
available online, and have put in a note that information is not availa-
ble and that it needs attention. They then tell me to call back in 30
days if I hear nothing from them or the status doesn't change, does any-
one have any other advise that may get this moving?

Oh yeah, my wife contacted her senator's office, John Edwards, for
some assistance but they seem to be getting the run around from USC-
IS as well.

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Mark
