Default dual citizenship problem

I have three citizenships including a U.S. one. I applied for a government
position that would require a secret clearance. The agency asks me to
renounce my other two citizenship in order to get my clearance.
My question: I don't plan on renouncing my two citizenships. Will the
government come after me and stip from my US citizenship because I don't
want to renounce my other citizenships? I declared all my citizenship when I
applied for the US citizenship.

No. It is not illegal to have multiple citizenships.
But you won't get your security clearance, either.

Thanks. I don't care about the clearance any more, as I won't give up two
citizenships for a job.

The US will not do anything about your other nationalities. Dual (and multiple)
nationality is solely your business, unless the DOJ happens to decide that you
are an unlawful combatant.

As for a security clearance, that depends on the agency involved. I have known
sa number of US Foreign Service officers who had a second nationality. All FSOs
have Top Secret clearances (if they lose that, they lose their job: viz. the
Felix Bloch affair). DOD is more difficult and if you do a Google search you
will see some stuff on that.

I am told that the UK insists that dual nationals divest themselves of a second
nationality to get high-level government positions; how that squares with Annex
2 of the Good Friday Agreement (recognizing the right of natives of Northern
Ireland to present themselves as British, Irish or both) I don't know.
