Default Dropping a case

Is it possible for a plaintiff to withdraw or drop an on-going law suit
or case against a defendant spouse in a divorce proceeding in
California law? Under what conditions? How (what practical steps must
one take)? What if the defendant spouse disagrees to having the case
dropped? Would he then have to file a new case for divorce?

I'd suggest you speak to a California divorce attorney regarding this
matter. How is your question related to immigration?

I can think of two potential ways it could relate to immigrations.

Hi:

Interesting question. Has the case actually been pending since 1970 or
before as your question implies?
