Default DIMIA c0ckup

Just received word from my folks (Cont Parent Visa) that Dimia c0cked
up in February this year and instead of requesting additional X-Rays
for Mrs, requested for Mr instead. 5 months down the line, Dimia's
answer is "oops", we sent the request through for the wrong person, the
new request for X-Rays will be posted out on Monday. Until now, they
haven't mentioned anything to the folks regarding outstanding requests
and the ongoing std query has been "your application is being
processed"

Anyone know if and how this can now be escallated as it's
out of their own fault that an additional 5 monts plus costs for X-Rays
etc. has been added.

What a
pain for you all. Was it Perth this was sent then, the only thing I
could find was this...

"For enquiries relating to parent category
applications made through the Perth Offshore Processing Centre (POPC)
(contact) "

And to top it up, the July 1st Visa increase adds another $3000.00 to
their application.

Hi Gordys,

No, the fees are locked in when you make the application.
I doubt they'll fund the second medical as it isn't exclusively their
fault since the name of the person to be examined should be written
clearly on the doctor's referral letter and therefore the radiologist
should have spotted it as well.

But you've got a very strong argument
to get them to extend the first entry dates or accord you any other
processing flexibility required.

Cheers,

George Lombard

Good to hear about the fees - Thank you.

The Doctors referral letter
was that of the request from Dimia stating additional X-Rays had to be
undertaken clearly for Mr Firstname Surname. The same will be done this
time around - the request is sent to the folks who then have to go to a
pannel doctor (who only has to open the envelope) to then refer that
person with the name on for X-Rays. Pretty obvious who's Mr and who's
Mrs though.
