Default Dima might cancel Visa

Hi,

Let me see if I can make a long story short!

Came to Australia on husbands 457 and he worked for 5 years, employer went
under and had to find a new sponsor. Dima was very good and gave us lots of
time to do that. Found new employer, it took months for Dima to get all the
paper work sorted. While all this was going on, I said this is enough, went
back to school and studied Hairdressing. Got my certificate 3 and it was no
fun working full time and school full time for a year. I applied for 134
MODL and got STNI from Vic. Husband was supposed to start work for new
employer 3 months ago but employer has fallen on hard times. New employer
called Dima and said they can't afford to hire him for awhile, would it be
OK if they wait a few months and hire him then? Dima said not a problem. I
still have the right to work and have started own business so it's OK with
us.

Now the fun starts. That CO left the job for whatever reason and the new CO
says NO WAY! Just got a registered letter saying they might cancel Visa. I
haven't got a CO for my 134 yet (applied in June) and am not looking forward
to heading back to Canada, destroying the just getting established business
and then turning around and coming back again to start all over. Financial
DEATH!

Here comes the question part...

If Dima cancels the Visa will it affect the 134 application?
Is there anyway of getting a Bridging Visa to cover at least until the 134
is decided?
If we can get a Bridging Visa will I be able to continue working?

We are so close to getting things sorted out on a permanent basis it's scary
to think it could all blow up!

Need advise.... HELP!

Thanks Chris

I Would strongly recommend that you see a migration agent/lawyer in
Australia a.s.a.p as you are already in Australia you do have rights and
you can appeal to a migration board so I'm sure you have options not
sure your get the answer on this internet forum.

Hi,
Just a little added note. Researched Bridging Visas and it looks like the
class A - for applicants who hold a substantive visa when they apply for
another substantive visa - would work, except that my husband holds the 457
Visa and I applied for the 134 Visa. I don't know if that excludes us. Any
help would be appreciated.
Chris
