Not sure this helps at all, but when my aunties new partner applied for
onshore defacto spouse visa he also had an appointment and it wasnt with
his case officer, someone else conducted the interview which coincided
with her being off ill. Therefore, I cant confirm if it is the co or if
an assessing officer.
