Default Difference between DIMIA case officer and assessing officer

Hi

Say suppose someone applies onshore for a defacto spouse visa. They get
a letter from "Jane Doe" their case officer, asking to attend an
interview with an "assessing officer".

Will Jane Doe the case officer do the actual interview? Or is the
"assessing officer" someone else?

Regards

BOB WELEDA.

There aren't that many people on here who have had de facto onshore
interviews, for one thing. I suspect noone knows the answer!

Not sure this helps at all, but when my aunties new partner applied for
onshore defacto spouse visa he also had an appointment and it wasnt with
his case officer, someone else conducted the interview which coincided
with her being off ill. Therefore, I cant confirm if it is the co or if
an assessing officer.

Sorry cant help you further, good luck with getting a reply.
