Hi Petra,
It wouldn't be his spouse meeting him there, but his fiancee. It would
be putting the honeymoon before the wedding, but it sounds like a good
idea to me! Plus they get the added bonus of flying to the USA
together...my fiance and I did that, and I'm so glad we did!

Beg to disagree -- there is nothing preventing them from leaving -- its
the coming back that doesn't seem to fit.

'spouse' was a politically correct term for 'partner' married or not!
