Not stayed so cant comment.

The beaches are all pretty good, although a storm a few weeks ago did
some damage to the Noosa Main Beach. But within an easy walk or
drive you can be on some of the cleanest beaches in the world. Its an
easy drive along the beach to Fraser Island as well - tour bus or 4x4
hire vehicle.
Stingers are a problem if there is a North Easterley wind blowing, otherwise
they do not bother us along the Sunshine Coast.
Theres plenty of lakes and the Noosa River Everglades as well, if the
beaches are closed due to stingers.
If you decide to swim on our beaches - please swim on a beach which
has lifesavers, swim between the yellow and red flags and your time here
will be safe.
Brisbane is not far off - easy access by train and a bus if you fancy doing
something different - theatre, etc.

Normally that time of year is the wet season - however for the past
few years its not been a typical wet season. We are at the Southern
end of the tropical weather patterns and often get cool weather changes
pushing up from the South. Today is clear blue skies and not a cloud in
sight, a few showers are forecast for this evening.
Even if it does rain - its that warm this time of year you just get on
and do whatever you wanted to anyway. Even with full cloud cover
you can get a serious case of sunburn!!

All year round is good - our winter is popular with the folks down South
as its like their summers (no flames entertained) except warmer and drier.
