De Facto Spouse - No news - good news??

We sent off our application a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything
yet. Is it customary to at least get an email or letter saying we have
received your application????

Have you checked the aspc updates to see what acknowledgement date your
visa type is up to? You can email ASPC once a week (it's updated every
Tuesday) and they send back a blank email with the details of what date
they are up to with acknowledging that they have received visas. The
dates vary depending on your visa type. Rather than having to send the
email yourself there's a thread on this forum (at the top I think) which
has the email posted on it whenever a new one comes out. I am assuming
that the De-Facto visa is on there too....

Are you applying in the UK? The first thing most people there hear on de
facto is when they get the visa back in the mail. Often there is no
acknowlegdment because they are granted quickly.
