First.
What do you say in my case who applied for citizenship in October 2002
and I didn't get any call for citizenship testing yet. It took 3 weeks
continuous calling that stupid so called Call Centre where I could
talk to an inept employee who didn't know anything about my file.
What you are talking about? To scam out more many from us for this
underachieving government? No way. You forgot one major factor. We are
Canadian taxpayer and not immigrants outside Canada so our rights are
a
little bit broader than theirs.
Second.
Nala. Check this document which was mentioned by a more knowledgeable
guy in another thread.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/manuals-guides/...enf/enf04e.pdf
This document clearly states job, that your husband come and go
without any problem through US border by car.
It states that his original Record of Landing document (IMM100) is
enough proof to prove his permanent resident status. Otherwise, a
German citizen doesn't need any visa to come to Canada. This is also
not an issue if he uses air transportation.
Please, check 11.2, 11.3, 11.4 for more details in above mentioned
document.
Third.
I remember in mid 2002 they advertised in the major newspapers if you
are eligible for citizenship don't apply for permanent resident card,
apply for citizenship rather. This is what I did too. Did you think
about if everybody who applied to citizenship also applies for
permanent resident card, the already overloaded administration cannot
handle this excessive workload?!
This shows the paramount idiocy of this legislation.
