currency in Uzbekistan & Kyrgystan

Hi,

I'm visiting Uzbekistan and Kyrgystan withing a couple of months and
I'm wondering what currency is the best, $ or euro?

Other information is also appreciated of course.

Dollars or Euros is ok in Tashkent, but Dollars would be preferred in all
other towns.
What places are you going to visit?

Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, maybe up to the (rest of) Aral sea
Fergana valley
Probably cross to Osh, no fixed idea in Kyrgystan yet. Ending in
Bishkek of course.

Dollars is always ok there. Just avoid travellers checks.

Right now, the Euro is a more stable currency as far as exchange goes
in Kyrgyzstan. I was there last month and the USD declined from 44 to
42 Kyrgyz soms in a week!
