I am in the process of completing my application for a 457 visa, and my
future employers have confirmed they will offer me permanent employment
after 12 months so can then apply for PR.

I have a health condition that requires me to take meds each day (for
maintenance purposes really), I wondered if I can find out whether the
medication is available in Australia (or what the equivalent is), and
how much this would cost me. Is there a website where I can find out
about monthly prescription charges etc?

Any help would be appreciated. thanks

First and foremost you need to check whether your health condition risks
causing you to fail the health requirement for permanent residence.

Yes I have already checked & it's fine, have been advised that I
shouldn't have any problems and my prospective employers are aware of my
condition and are not worried as for the most part i am in remission -
hence the medication as maintenance to keep it that way.

Is there any way I can check how much my medication will cost me
whilst in Aus?

That's OK. I have a thyroid problem so had to research all that sort of
stuff myself
