A letter from his employer would probably be helpful, along with any
other proof he can bring showing ties to his home country, and that he
does not intend to immigrate on this trip. When it comes right down to
it, it's all up to the POE officer to make the decision to allow him in
for a visit or not. If he gets turned away, then hopefully it won't be
too much longer before his visa is ready for him to actually make the
move over.
