Default Citizenship Test

Hi
I took the citizenship test in the last week of September. How long
will I have to wait before I hear the result? How soon after this will
the acceptance ceremony be? And is it necessary to attend the
ceremony.

Thanks

I am waiting now 2 moonth after my exam and still didn't hear from
them.
I did the exam in Scarborough center.
I know my neighbours who did the exam in downtown Toronto, went to the
ceremony 2 weeks later and now are citizens.
Other neighbour who did the exam in Scarborough 1 day before me , still
didn't get an answer as well.
So I think depends on place where you did the exam.

I think that you didn't leaarn well for your test if you ask the
question if ceremony is necessery.
Of course you have to attend the ceremony and to take Canada oath to
the Queen.

Hope I helped you.

Sorry that I am not answering your question but asking another
question.
I am outside Canada for the last 1.6 years after landing. I received my
PR few months back.
I wonder if there is a time limit to return to Canada to obtain
citizenship.
Also, if I stay in USA, does this counted as staying in Canada.
Thank you

You're trolling right?

Ok, I'll bite.

How hard is it to start a new thread?

I think you mean you received your PR card a few months back.

You don't just obtain citizenship before a timer runs out. That's not
how it works - go to http://www.ci.gc.ca/ and get learning.

Well, I'm no expert in political geography but considering that the USA
is, well, you know, NOT Canada, no.

You will get the result right away. It used to be couple of months or
so before but now they give out the result right away.

They will tell you you will hear within 4-6 weeks regarding the oath
but it might take upto 8 weeks.
